Christchurch Borough Council worked on the project in partnership with Sovereign Twynham Housing Association and Rutland Road Allotment Association with Sutcliffe Play South West acting as contractors.

A number of consultation events were held with local parents and children to come up with the best design for the play area, which includes a super rope end swinger. The targeted age group is under-thirteens.

On opening the play area, the Mayor said: I am delighted to have opened yet another play facility for the children of Christchurch as play is a very important part of a childs life.

Im also happy to say that the equipment is fun to play on having tested it myself!
