Lauren Bannon is a talented young singer songwriter who draws inspiration from her love of Dorset.

“It’s a beautiful place to write,” she tells me, “filled with gloriously inspiring back drops, so I’m never short of scenery to soak up for inspiration.”

Lauren has recently signed a deal with a new London-based production company, whose producer has worked with artists including Macey Gray and Pixie Lott. But her favourite haunts are still small Dorset pubs, “Because they’re the most intimate environments to play,” she adds.

As an accomplished keyboard player and singer whose vocal acrobatics have traces of Mariah Carey, her first EP Jukebox is well worth a listen. Lauren was also the voice of a Christmas advert for ITV in 2013.
