Jane Morgan-Jones and Scania Price

Despite being the agnostic son of a sceptical doctor, I do have a spiritual and open mind.

Certainly, you will struggle to find two more lovely, spiritual people than Scania Price and Jane Morgan-Jones. They may actually have converted me to the joys of Gong Meditation combined with Yoga Nidra - basically a rather lovely, guided, sonorous half-sleep.

Let’s face it, who doesn’t fancy a spot of soft music and kind words?

As Jane says: “you just lie there, you don’t have to do anything.”

These two Wimborne-based friends run a £10 hour-long class. As Scania - or, as she brilliantly calls herself, “a long-legged Welsh Viking, with emotional blockages, named after a Swedish lorry” - says: “We offer a yogic sleep prompted by sounds and words, something that’s been done for thousands of years, yet a unique combination.

“People live in very stressful times, with expectations, mortgages, children and work. When there is downtime, you think you have to go to the gym or shops. But rest is important. And that, truly, is what we offer.

“We will recalibrate your nervous system.”

We can all be agnostic or sceptical but - let’s be honest - who doesn’t need some spiritual calibration?
