Steve White made a triumphant return to his home port of Weymouth aboard Toe in the Water, which he sailed to 8th place in the Vende Globe, the prestigious solo round-the-world yacht race. The Royal Dorset Yacht Club hosted a lively reception for Steve and his many friends, including sailing legend Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and fellow Vende Globe finishers Dee Caffari

and Brian Thompson. Sir Robin Knox-Johnston saluted Steve's success, noting that more people have been into space than have sailed solo around the world!
