Christmas Day Escape
Meet at: Gore Clump near Compton Abbas Airfield - nearest postcode SP5 5AX
Distance: 10 miles, moderate
Join the South Dorset Ramblers for a more-active-than-usual Christmas Day. This is a hilly circular walk that will take you through woods and fields and reward you with great views. Take a picnic lunch. Starts at 10am, estimated finish 3.30pm.

New Year’s Day Walk
Meet at: Ilchester Arms car park. If not taking pub lunch, please use village car park
Distance: 9.5 miles, moderate
Welcome the new year with the South Dorset Ramblers on this figure-of-eight walk, with optional pub lunch preceded by hills of Portesham, Hampton Barn in the morning and West Elsworth plus St Catherine’s (optional) in the afternoon. Starts 10am, estimated finish 4pm.

Minterne Magna Walk, 6 January
Meet at: Minterne Magna Church - nearest postcode DT2 7AS
Distance: 9 miles, moderate
Enjoy this classic circuit with the North Dorset Ramblers, taking in Upcerne, Cerne and the Giant. It can be muddy, three ascents. Bring a packed lunch. Starts 10am, estimated finish 3pm. Registered Assistance Dogs only.
