Photographer RogerLane shares some of his favourite images of a Dorset autumn

Roger Lane lives in Wimborne and has been photographing Dorset for 45 years; he says he has never tired of discovering the many landscapes and features the county has to offer. His book Gardens of Dorset published by Frances Lincoln features some of Dorsets most beautiful gardens, both great and small, many of which are open to the public through the National Gardens Scheme.
Rogers photographic career started in the 1960s with motor racing photography for the film company Agfa Gevaert. These now historical images feature in his book Out of the Shadows published by Halsgrove. Roger has also written and photographed articles for FRANCE magazine featuring the French impressionists and the landscapes in which they worked. He feels that his interest in France and the French impressionists has strongly influenced his photography. Increasingly his photography is moving into the world of fine art and his more abstract colour work is finding its way on to the walls of Dorset homes and offices.

Rogers work can be viewed at rogerlanephotography.com and dorsetpictures.com
