An incredible line-up of four and two-wheeled adrenaline fuelled action at Bournemouth Wheels Festival

Ready, steady, go! Only 16 days until the UK's biggest FREE family wheels-themed Festival, Bournemouth Wheels Festival, speeds into Britain's best seaside resort from 24 to 26 May.

Presenting a fantastic celebration of all things wheel powered from sleek supercars and vintage classics to car-crushing Monster Trucks, show stopping BMX stunts and a cycling spectacular, plus everything in between, there is something for all ages.

Taking place against the backdrop of the beautiful award winning seafront, picturesque Lower Gardens and bustling town centre, there is a great line-up of static displays, interactive shows and demonstrations and even a chance for visitors to have a go at plenty of activities too.

What can Festival-goers look forward to and when:

Monster Truck Arena - Team Bigfoot will be showcasing menacing Monster Truck machines as they tear around Bournemouth beach performing car-crushing and power demonstrations between 12pm and 6pm (11am and 6pm on Monday). There will be 45 minute shows every other hour. Plus, in between there will be an amazing chance to have a go in a ride truck, small fee for this (£10 or discounted rate of £5 with a souvenir programme).

Elite raceElite race

Action Sports Arena - be wowed by daring Freestyle Motocross (FMX) stunts on the beach from 12pm-7pm (on Monday 12pm-6pm), with 45 minute sessions every other hour. Plus don’t miss one of the rider’s daredevil attempt at Bournemouth’s first ever jump over the historic pier on Saturday and Sunday from 7pm-8pm.

Demonstration Straight - watch adrenaline fuelled demos from historic F1 cars, nostalgic Le Mans cars, sleek supercars and GP Moto bikes on the Demonstration Straight - the first time a UK coastal destination has created a specially-made course. There will be two three hour demonstrations each day from 11am-6pm, and 11am-5pm on Monday, along the cliff top course. There’ll also be a supercar cavalcade to look forward to.

Supercars - some of the world’s most elite sports and racing cars will be on display in the Bournemouth International Centre from 12pm-6pm Saturday through to Monday.

Freewheel stunts - Team Extreme BMX riders and skaters will enthral and thrill in equal measure from 12pm-7pm, with 45 minute sessions starting on every hour across the three days. Visitors can also learn how to do tricks in between shows.

Pre-war vintage cars - Enjoy a nostalgic display celebrating the early years of motoring outside the Pavilion from 11am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Vintage Pageant - See hundreds of beautifully maintained vehicles on display on the seafront between 10am and 6pm.

Wheels Night Ride - a chance for Festival-goers to take part in cycling events - Bears on Bikes community bike ride starting from Boscombe Pier at 6.30pm, Wheels Relay Challenge at 7.40pm in which 12 teams of four compete to become champions of the town centre circuit, Elite Race at 8.25pm when top cyclists race the circuit to win and the finale of the evening the Nightglow ride starting from Pier Approach at 9.30pm.

Evening entertainment - seafront stage featuring music by the sea on Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings and fantastic fireworks from 10pm on Saturday and Monday evenings.

And that’s just the highlights! There is plenty more to see including WheelPower - showcasing different wheelchair sports, the family zone featuring children’s entertainers, funfair and sideshows, and demonstrations from rally cars and military vehicles in the Desert Driving and Military Arena.
