Nominate the Dorset food and drink you love in our prestigious awards and reward the heroes from our county’s food scene who tantalise your tastebuds

This month we are delighted to launch the 2015 Dorset Magazine Food, Drink & Farming Awards. Building on the success of last year’s popular event, we are pleased to announce that the 2015 awards dinner will be held in the spectacular surroundings of Lulworth Castle on Thursday 24 September.

These prestigious awards, which are in partnership with Dorset Food & Drink, are designed to champion, highlight and showcase the great and the good from the county’s food and drink industry including local producers and suppliers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hoteliers. It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to tell us about the food, drink and farming heroes you think deserve recognition for the outstanding contribution they make in Dorset.

We want to hear from you about the Dorset men and women who go that extra mile to put this county on the foodie map. The people who make your experience of local food and drink special. You can see all the categories and nominate your favourites at The nomination form is also available in the June issue of Dorset Magazine.

Entries close on Monday 3 August. The three businesses (or individuals) from each category with the most reader votes will go through to the final where an independent judging panel will decide who is the winner. The judges will take into consideration your comments so make sure you tell us why this business or individual is outstanding and why they should win. All the finalists will be invited to the glittering awards dinner at Lulworth Castle on Thursday 24 September.

So get voting now. And if you are a business then don’t forget to ask your customers to consider nominating you. We look forward to receiving your nominations.
