PUBLISHED: 10:55 27 September 2019
Our winner is based on the edge of the Blackmore Vale, and they impressed with their range of milks, creams and milkshakes
This award was kindly sponsored by Porter Dodson Solicitors, and it recognises local producers whose passion for Dorset produce is at the heart of their business. It's open to all producers who demonstrate a real passion for our county's food and drink.
This year's finalists are…
Book & Bucket Cheese Company , Cranborne - a new cheese company, making an amazing range of artisan cheese, taking traditional hand made cheese and adding their own unique touch.
Lily's Produce, Swanage - Lily's Produce makes high quality, full-flavoured preserves to recipes handed down through two generations of the family. Each preserve is made in Lily's kitchen in Swanage, using a traditional small batch, open pot method on the stove.
And this year's winner is…
Meggy Moo's Dairy, Blandford Forum - they are proud to produce a gently pasteurised, unhomogenised whole and semi-skimmed milk, a 'farm fresh' cream and Mini Moo's - a range of healthy, school-approved milkshakes from their farm on the edge of Blackmore Vale.
A huge congratulations to our winner and our finalists. Thank you to the public for their many nominations, and to our well-respected judges who picked our worthy winner of the 'Food Product/Producer of the Year', sponsored by Porter Dodson Solicitors.
