Dorset Food, Drink and Farming Awards 2019: Best Seafood Restaurant
PUBLISHED: 09:21 27 September 2019 | UPDATED: 10:52 27 September 2019
Dorset is home to some of the country’s best seafood restaurants, but one in particular caught our judges’ eyes.
This award was kindly sponsored by Furleigh Estate, and our judges were seeking out the restaurants that celebrated the fabulous local seafood landed in this country, and that made this the star ingredient of their menus.
This year's finalists are…
Les Enfant Terribles Restaurant, Weymouth - The ethos at Les Enfants Terribles is to serve locally caught fish and locally made produce to those looking for somewhere to relax and unwind with good food and great ambience. Owner and head chef Eric is French and there is a definite je ne sais quoi to the seasonal menu.
Storm Restaurant, Poole - Our winner of this award last year, Storm serves good honest sustainable food, that is locally sourced and cooked with passion and expertise.
And the winner is…
Guildhall Tavern, Poole - A French seafood restaurant, offering an extensive menu with house specialities of locally landed delicious fish, crab and lobster prepared in mouth-watering French style.
A huge congratulations to our winner and our finalists. Thank you to the public for their many nominations, and to our well-respected judges who picked our worthy winner of the 'Seafood Restaurant of the Year Award', sponsored by Furleigh Estate.
