Winner: Bridport Farmers’ Market
This highly successful regular farmers’ market is held in the Arts Centre on the second Saturday each month and regularly attracts over 30 producers from cider and coffee to cheese and charcuterie. Readers loved the superb selection and array of local food in an easily accessible location.
Highly Commended: Dorchester Farmers’ Market
This very popular market, held on the fourth Saturday of the month in South Street attracts a wide range of Dorset producers selling everything from home baked goodies and local cheeses to multi-award-winning charcuterie and proper Dorset cider.
Highly Commended: Sherborne Farmers’ Market
Monthly market held on the third Friday of every month in Cheap Street. Stalls include local fish, pies, cheeses and locally grown fruit and veg. Readers were impressed by the great selection of local meat including game and the award-winning cakes and breads.
