Auction for Routes
The Maiden Castle Group held an auction in September in aid of Routes, the Advice and Information Centre in Dorchester. The auction, held in The Poet Laureate public house in Poundbury, raised the magnificent sum of £3,147.

Dorset magazine's editor, Bridget Swann (below, left), recently attended the launch of Direct from Dorset's Environmental Standards and 'Year of Food and Farming'. The event, which was held at Washingpool Farm, near Bridport, gave those present the chance to find out more about the scheme, and many, such as those below, enjoyed a delicious cream tea!

Award-winning bakery Honeybuns launched its new Bumbleo savoury tray-bake in April at The Bee Shack at Naish Farm, Holwell. Guests feasted on samples of Bumbleo and home-made canapés.
