With only two days to go, the first ever Sandbanks Boat Show will be held at Salterns Marina, Poole on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May from 10am 5pm daily. This free of charge event has attracted top brands, with over 50 new boats on display including:-

Sunseeker, Princess, Fairline, Targa, Boston Whaler, Jeanneau, Nimbus, Greenline, Beneteau, Goldfish Boat, Paragon, Pascoe, Windy, Williams, Sailtime and Searay, amongst other products including Marine Electronics, Insurance and Finance companies. The RNLI will also be in attendance offering free sea safety advice including a lifejacket clinic. Find out more about the charity that saves lives at sea.

This two day show is being organised and generously supported by Salterns Marina. We will strive to make this show a success and provide the boating enthusiast a great cross section of quality boating brands and products to choose from.

Salterns spokesperson Russell Hayden said Within 3 weeks of having been told about the collapse of the Liverpool Boat Show, we were able to turn this around and organise our own boat show here at Salterns, attracting leading companies to exhibit. The positive response weve received from main dealers, manufacturers, associated companies including the press whove welcomed this event, has been amazing. Theres a great buzz in and around the marina and a real sense of feel-good factor, which is very encouraging.

Weve now heard of another boat show cancelling last minute and exhibitors are very grateful this show has been put in place.

Sandbanks Boat Show; Sandbanks; being synonymous as a playground paradise for the rich and famous and Blue Flag beach, should attract visitors looking to kick off the season in their search for new or used craft ranging from dinghies and personal watercraft to luxury motor cruisers.

Show Times:- 10am 5pm Daily Admission: Free of Charge

Testimonials:-

Thanks to Russ Hayden and his team for sowing the seed for the Sandbanks Boat Show to grow into a significant South Coast event. The timings are perfect for discussions around general interest or more serious negotiating and it represents a perfect stepping stone to Southampton in September and an ideal stop-gap for Liverpools demise. With the challenges faced by the marine sector right now it should be a real shot-in-the-arm for prospective purchasers and suppliers alike.

The location here at Poole remains one of the key, gold-chip convenient south coast destinations for boating. And with over 60 boats now expected to be on show over the weekend every road leads to Salterns Marina on 7th/8th May. At breakneck speed Sandbanks Boat Show has become a must-see event for the 2011 season.

And if thats not enough to whet your appetite, the bottom line is its Free!

David Adams, Wessex Marine

With the recent demise of the Liverpool Boat Show, some of the south coasts biggest boat brands have found themselves with a lot of boats to exhibit and nowhere to exhibit them. Like a phoenix from the ashes, Salterns Marina of Poole has stepped-up as gracious host and the Sandbanks Boat Show is born.
