Following a two year renovation project, the Hotel Grosvenor is now open in the historic and picturesque town of Shaftesbury, bringing boutique-hotel sophistication and the finest, contemporary cuisine to the county of Dorset.

Stunningly decorated, the hotel brings a fresh, modern and urban approach to a stunning Georgian building in hill-top, Saxon town, offering sixteen luxurious rooms which are all individually designed, an elegant and capacious ballroom which is available for private hire and the Greenhouse Restaurant, serving contemporary and locally-sourced cuisine by Michelin-starred chef Mark Treasure. The ultra-stylist hotel cocktail bar and courtyard terrace complete the offer of relaxed sophistication in the heart of the countryside.

Each of the light and spacious bedrooms have handmade beds by local bespoke designers Beaudesert, statement headboards and sumptuous soft furnishings, and are decorated in a palette of warm greys and greens through to deep aubergine with accents of hot reds and pink. The Cranbourne Suite features an enormous marbled walk in shower and free-standing tub, modern reclining lounger, huge bay window and an open fire to greet guests whilst the hotels Junior Suites boasts oversized free-standing tubs in the room and separate, luxurious shower rooms. All rooms offer 100% Italian cotton linen, Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions, iPod docks, large fluffy towels, Tassimo coffee machines and REN bath and beauty products.

You can relax in the snug sitting room or the bar, with its contemporary light installations by Bruce Munro and modern ambience and enjoy the hotels signature cocktails or a choice of cocktail classics before adjourning to the Greenhouse restaurant. Under the auspices of award-winning chef and local Dorset man Mark Treasure, the restaurant is dedicated to serving local produce, livestock, fish, game and cheeses and presenting mouth-watering traditional European food for the modern palette. The 70-cover restaurant features a popular chefs table with direct views into the busy kitchen and a private dining area. In addition to imaginatively combined, gourmet lunch and dinner menus, complemented by an imaginative and affordable wine list, the restaurant also provides delicious breakfasts, childrens menus and bespoke hampers to take out as you explore the beautiful locality.

With a variety of special events throughout the year, including cookery courses with Mark Treasure and weekday and weekend special packages, The Hotel Grosvenors chic, unique offer brings something very special to Dorset and is the perfect location for the finest English countryside break.
