More than 330 representatives from the town’s tourism and leisure industries gathered for a dazzling ceremony to toast the best in the business. Held at the O2 Academy in Boscombe, the Victorian seaside entertainment-themed evening included displays from Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, Hoop La La, colourful artist Andremeda, aerial artist Colette Morrow and a dramatic illusionist show The Amazing Norvil & Josephine.

The evening saw 13 coveted awards presented to winners in key sectors of the industry.

These included the popular Large/Medium Hotel of the Year which was won by The Cumberland Hotel; Tourism Attraction Experience of the Year awarded to National Trust Corfe Castle Medieval Village and the Taste of Bournemouth Restaurant/Bistro of the Year, won by Harry Ramsden’s Bournemouth.

Flirt Café Bar won the Daily Echo’s People’s Choice Award and Councillor John Beesley, Leader of Bournemouth Borough Council, received the Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award.
