Events and Santa’s grotto

Macmillan White Christmas Dip

Where: Boscombe Pier, Bournemouth.

When: Christmas Day at 10:30am

Info: Why not join us in fancy dress and have a dip in the sea on Christmas Day? All proceeds to Macmillan Caring Locally.


Meet Santa at Farmer Palmer’s

Where: Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park, Wareham Road, Organford, Poole, BH16 6EU.

When: Saturday December 21 and Sunday December 22 between 10am and 4pm.

Info: Festive Fun for everyone! Santa sits to meet you and your little ones. Presents, fancy dress and more! Sunday Christmas dinners are available. (Additional charge for Santa).


Santa’s grotto at Lemur Landings

Where: Tower Park Leisure Complex, Tower Park, Poole, BH12 4NY.

When: every weekend (Friday to Sunday) as well as Monday December 23 and Tuesday December 24 between 11:30am and 5pm.

Info: Children can play in the snow before visiting Santa in his Christmas grotto. Don’t forget to say hello to the snowmen on your way in!


Santa’s Grotto at Knoll visitor centre

Where: Knoll Visitor Centre, Studland, near Swanage, Dorset.

When: Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15 between 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

Info: Visit Santa in his beach hut hideaway and receive a present.




Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Where: Royal Manor Theatre, 138A Fortuneswell, Portland, DT5 1LT.

When: Running until Saturday December 14.

Who: Portland’s very own amateur dramatics company invite you to see ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. Come along and enjoy this classic tale, performed by local actors. Directed by Mark Sampson-Vincent.



Where: Weymouth Pavilion, The Esplanade, Weymouth, DT4 8ED.

When: between Thursday December 12 and Sunday January 5.

Who: Juliette Longworth-Dean in the title role, Steve Richie as Buttons, Paul Cammack as the prince, Lee Redwood and Chris Carr as Ugly Sisters Fannie and Annie, Christopher James as Dandini and Gabriella Grace Elliott as the Fairy.



Where: Pavilion Theatre, Westover Road, Bournemouth, BH1 2BU.

When: between Saturday December 7 and Sunday January 5.

Who: EastEnders and The Bill star Scott Maslen plays Abanazar, Bobby Crush portrays Widow Twankey and CBeebies presenter Chris Jarvis has the role of Wishee Washee.


Jack and the Beanstalk

Where: Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, Burton Brad stock, Bridport, DT6 4PT.

When: showing between Thursday December 12 and Wednesday December 18.

Who: Join us for a giant of a pantomime starring Kai Widderington (Britain’s got Talent) and Tamaryn Payne (Hollyoaks).
