Seaside House is a stunning beautifully restored townhouse with cool seaside chic interiors which has been transformed into a very successful luxury holiday let in the heart of St Ives.
This most impressive double fronted townhouse is surrounded by superb blue flag surfing beaches and a dramatic coastline, St Ives has transformed itself into a cool seaside mecca, to rival any world class coastal destination. The town has even been voted best holiday town 2012 by Coast magazine for the third year running!
With its natural beauty and spectacular light, many world famous painters, potters and sculptures such as Barbabra Hepworth, Bernard Leech and Alfred Wallis all made St Ives their home town, as did the world famous Tate Gallery!
Seaside House dates from 1890 and was originally two fishermens cottages. In 2001/2002 the cottages were completely renovated and remodelled to create the fine townhouse that it is now. More recently, the house has been meticulously refurbished to create the beautiful seaside interiors that it retains today.
A beautifully proportioned house, sleeping up to eight guests, it benefits from lots of light, which creates a very spacious but cosy feel to the house. A lovely kitchen with handmade units and granite worktops leads into an open plan lounge and dining room, which overlooks one of the prettiest streets in Downalong.
Stairs lead up to the first floor to a twin room with its own shower room next door. Across the landing is an ensuite king size bedroom. Another flight of stairs takes you to the fantastic attic family suite with breathtaking views out towards the harbour. A clever layout sees a king size bedded room with ensuite bathroom with a room off, opening into a nautically themed bunk room, with handmade bunk beds ideal for the children!
All bedrooms have fabulous hotel contract mattresses on divan beds ensuring a great nights sleep. With power showers, Wi-fi, Wii machine and all the mod cons, and with the addition of a parking space at the rear of the property with a second space just a moments walk away, Seaside House surely has to be the ultimate family luxury holiday let in St Ives.

Seaside House is available to rent all year round through Cherished Cottages.
