A rare opportunity to buy luxury new homes overlooking stunning Lyme Bay and the historic Dorset town of Lyme Regis have been unveiled by West Country developer Cavanna Homes.

Blue View, which is less than a mile from the historic town centre and the famous Cobb, is a quiet and select development of 14 large, detached houses in an elevated position on the Northern edge of Lyme Regis.

News of the forthcoming development has already prompted a large amount of national and local interest, with over 150 enquiries logged ahead of the opening of the sales office this week (June 24th).

Cavannas Sales Manager Andy James said; We knew the location was special but have been quite taken aback that the development has generated so much interest before the full details of the properties have even been published. He continued; In an area which is best known for its history, small streets and character cottages, new detached homes of this size and specification dont often come on the market, which is why this development is so exciting.

Torquay-based Cavanna Homes acquired the site late last year and named it Blue View because the hilltop location offers fantastic views of the blue sea and the sky across Lyme Bay. The house designs have been named after famous British writers and poets, who may have been inspired by such views, to put pen to paper.

There are six styles of low maintenance, energy efficient homes being built at Blue View. The Byron, The Coleridge, The Conrad, The Sheridan and The Ruskin all have four bedrooms. The Shelley is a five bedroom property.

All of the homes have contemporary fitted kitchens and integrated appliances, most have double garages and studies and some even have games rooms. All the properties are large, providing generous and spacious living environments.

Andy James said; We have worked hard to ensure we provide the right kind of houses for this exclusive site. Most of the properties will have either sea or valley views. Some will back onto a green field and others will be adjacent to some prime, established properties. All will benefit from being in a no through road. He added; People call Lyme Regis The Pearl of Dorset - I would say that we also have a real gem in Blue View.

The Blue View sales office opens this week (June 24th) and the first house is due to be built by the end of October. The whole development is expected to be fully complete late in 2011.

First price releases start from 520,000. For further details please contact the Cavanna Homes Blue View sales office on 01297 444852 (thurs mon 10.00am til 5.00pm) or email blueview@cavanna.co.uk
