Con-tempo Design stores are more than just furniture stores

Con-tempo Design launched its first store in Warminster in November 2009 and is managed by Catherine Thompson. The store was so successful that a sister store in Alton, Hampshire was opened in May 2010.

More than just a furniture store


Con-tempo Design stores are more than just furniture stores, with its furniture set out in inspiring room sets with two floors of choice. Con-tempo Design offers you contemporary, British made furniture for your living room, bedroom, dining room even the office.


Con-tempo Design launched its first store in Warminster in November 2009 and is managed by Catherine Thompson. The store was so successful that a sister store in Alton, Hampshire was opened in May 2010. Louise, who is Catherines daughter, runs the Alton store.


Con-tempo Design is heading in an exciting new direction and has some new additions to the team. Dean Robbins, the founder of Pinetum and owner of Con-tempo, is on board designing our furniture; Richard Robbins who was the Production Director at Pinetum is manufacturing our furniture and Cat Mayo who was the Creative Design Manager at Pinetum is part of the in-house design team. The Con-tempo team works in synergy designing and manufacturing the highest quality furniture whilstensuring we maintain traditional handcrafted principles within every piece of furniture.


Dean Robbins has always had the same ethos, to design and create innovative furniture that stands out from the imported crowd. Deans market leading ranges include: Tuscan, Quercus, Como, Q2, Florence and Pantone. Con-tempos design team will not only be designing ranges for Con-tempo stores but also working alongside large retail chains to design exclusive ranges for them. Their recent collaborative design work includes ranges for House of Fraser and John Lewis.


Not only does Con-tempo have their own in house design team, as of the 1stFebruary 2011 they now manufacture their furniture right here in Wiltshire. All furniture is made to order and with the popular Made2Measure service there is never an issue they cant resolve! The Made2Measure service offers customers the chance to shrink or stretch certain products.
