Anita Newcombe, Regional Managing Director

At work… oversees the publication of Devon Life, Somerset Life, Dorset magazine and Cornwall Life, parties a lot in the community and makes sure everything runs smoothly at our Totnes HQ.

Outside of work… loves getting out and meeting people all around the county with her husband Richard; trying out new country walks and getting wet in the family’s ancient Westerly Centaur sailing boat.

Julian Rees, Group Production Manager

At work… with the help of his design team Julian pulls all the words and pictures together and meets the print deadlines for all of Archant Life’s South-west titles. Outside of work…he can be found either covering a social diary event, hanging at the end of from a rope on one of the Dorset's cliffs, or looking after his two young sons...

Bridget Swann, Editor

At work… Bridget decides on editorial content, commissions writers, chooses pictures, attends local events – everything from opening food fairs to going to the High Sheriff’s Summer Party – and does lots of other things that ensure the magazine is up to scratch. Outside of work… she cooks like Nigel Slater and gardens like Monty Don – or so she reckons, roams West Dorset with her two lurchers and husband – not necessarily in that order, and has been known to drink the odd glass or two of Sauvignon Blanc.

Pamela Twine, Sub Editor

At work… Pam knocks the copy into shape and proofreads the designed pages before they go to the printers. Outside of work… she loves to do battle with her lovely cottage garden and when weeds allow she likes nothing better than to travel – indeed, office rumour has it that she has visited more countries than the Queen.

Tina Richards, Advertising Sales Representative

At work… Tina gets out and about selling advertising in the Blandford, Wimborne and West Dorset area, often getting lost down country roads in the pursuit of a potential advertiser. She is often at social diary events with a camera in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. Outside of work… she has recently taken up running and has done the 5k Race for Life. The next step is to continue training for a 10k run – and may be a marathon one day! She also loves home decorating when she has the time, and relaxes with a bit of yoga followed by another glass of that wine.

Kerrie Pullin, Advertising Sales Representative

At work...Kerrie looks after businesses from Weymouth to Swanage, well you could say the south of Dorset. She really enjoys creating advertising campaigns from small to large companies, even ones who have never advertised or have no idea about advertising!! Outside of work...Kerrie is coming up to her first year in Dorset and enjoys exploring the countryside on one of her many walks with the girls. She has also started to scuba dive again and is looking forward to diving in Egypt and other exotic places.

Ian Frost, Retail Development Manager

At work… Ian organises the circulation, sale and promotion of the magazine which, in 2½ years in the job, has become ‘The Biggest-Selling County Magazine in Dorset’. He maintains that backed by a top-quality product (thank you team!) and strategic placement at point of sale, it is little wonder! Outside of work… If he is not on the football pitch supporting his lad who plays for Weymouth under 15s, he’s at a dog show supporting his wife in her quest to breed and show a Cavalier King Charles spaniel good enough to win Crufts. (Dream on!)

Jane Norman, Sales & Editorial Administrator

At work… Jane’s job is to keep Bridget and Pam on the straight and narrow, and amongst other things is responsible for the Dorset website, although thankfully not the technical side!
